Professional teeth whitening uses a dentist-grade bleaching gel to lift stains from within the enamel, going noticeably further than any over-the-counter strip or toothpaste. At G Plus Dental, we start every case with a shade assessment and an oral exam, so your treatment is matched to what will actually work for your teeth.
CANDIDACY
Which stains respond well to whitening?
Whitening gel oxidises stain molecules that sit within the enamel. How well it works depends on what caused the discolouration in the first place — most everyday staining responds very well, while some cases need a different approach. We confirm which category your teeth fall into at consultation.

ONE-STOP DENTAL CARE
A brighter smile, built on healthy teeth first
Whitening works best — and lasts longest — on teeth that are already healthy and free of decay or gum disease. With over three decades of combined clinical experience across every dental discipline, G Plus Dental checks and treats what’s underneath before we brighten what’s on top, all in one place.
Exam & Cleaning
A check for decay and gum health before any whitening begins.
Orthodontics
Invisalign clear aligners, often paired with whitening on completion.
Restorative & Cosmetic
Veneers, crowns and bonding sequenced to match your new shade.
Dental Implants
Replacing missing teeth so your whole smile brightens evenly.
The result: if you have crowns, veneers or old fillings visible in your smile, we plan the sequencing so your finished result looks uniform — not patchy.
WHY PROFESSIONAL
Professional vs. store-bought whitening
Drugstore strips and whitening toothpastes work on the surface. Professional gel, applied and supervised by a dentist, works within the enamel — with far better and longer-lasting results.

FREQUENTLY ASKED
Whitening questions, answered
How much does teeth whitening cost in Singapore?
At G Plus Dental, whitening generally ranges from about S$380 to S$980, depending on the option chosen. You’ll receive a clear quote after your shade assessment and exam.
| Option | Indicative range (SGD) |
|---|---|
| Custom take-home trays | from ~S$380 |
| In-chair whitening | ~S$580 – S$780 |
| In-chair + take-home combined | up to ~S$980 |
Will whitening damage my enamel?
No — professional whitening gel, used as directed, does not weaken or damage enamel. Some patients experience temporary sensitivity during treatment, which is managed with desensitising agents and, if needed, an adjusted schedule.
How long do the results last?
Most patients enjoy noticeably brighter teeth for 1 to 3 years, depending on diet, smoking and oral hygiene. Staining foods and drinks — coffee, tea, red wine — will gradually reintroduce some colour, and periodic touch-ups keep results topped up.
Can I whiten if I have crowns, veneers or bonding?
Whitening gel only works on natural tooth enamel — restorations won’t change shade. If you have visible crowns, veneers or bonding, we discuss sequencing so the final result looks even, sometimes replacing older restorations to match your new shade.
Is whitening safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
As a precaution, we recommend postponing elective whitening until after pregnancy and breastfeeding. It isn’t a medical necessity, and there’s little research on the effects of bleaching agents in these periods.
What should I avoid after whitening?
For 48 hours, avoid strongly pigmented foods and drinks — coffee, tea, red wine, curry, soy sauce — and tobacco, since enamel is more porous and stain-prone right after treatment. Plain water, white meats and pale foods are safe.
