for precise implant planning

A dental implant is a titanium post surgically placed into the jawbone to replace a missing tooth’s root, topped with a crown, bridge, or denture. Unlike a bridge or removable denture, an implant fuses with the bone through a process called osseointegration, giving it the stability and chewing function of a natural tooth.

SUITABILITY

Who Should Get Dental Implants?

Dental implants are generally suitable for adults who have lost one or more teeth through decay, injury, or gum disease, and who have adequate jawbone density and healthy gums. Patients with bone loss are not automatically excluded — bone grafting or sinus lift procedures can often build up the site first. Because tooth loss is frequently linked to underlying gum disease, our doctors assess and, where needed, treat periodontal health before implant surgery to protect the long-term result.

WHY G PLUS DENTAL

Precision planning for a predictable, lasting result

Implant success depends on accurate 3D planning and meticulous surgical technique. Our doctors combine both with a comprehensive view of your whole-mouth health.

3D CBCT Imaging

A cone-beam CT scan maps your jawbone, nerves and sinuses in 3D, so implant position and angle are planned before surgery, not during it.

Guided Implant Surgery

Digital surgical guides transfer the plan precisely to the mouth, improving accuracy and shortening chair time.

Gum & Bone Health First

Periodontal treatment and, where needed, bone grafting are addressed before placement to support long-term stability.

Comfort-Focused Sedation Options

Local anaesthesia and sedation options are available for anxious patients or more involved multi-implant cases.

Natural Look & Function

Custom crowns are shade-matched and shaped to blend with your surrounding teeth and restore normal biting force.

Single Teeth to Full-Arch

From one missing tooth to full-arch implant-supported bridges and dentures, treatment is planned to fit your case.

ONE-STOP DENTAL CARE

Everything under one roof — from extraction to final crown

Implant cases often involve more than one discipline — a tooth extraction, gum therapy, bone grafting, and orthodontic alignment of neighbouring teeth can all affect the final outcome. G Plus Dental Center manages every stage in-house, so your treatment plan is coordinated by one clinical team from start to finish, without external referrals.

Extractions & Bone Grafting

Preparing the implant site when a tooth must first be removed or built up.

Gum Health

Periodontal therapy to protect the tissue that will support your implant.

Orthodontics

Aligning neighbouring teeth first for correct implant spacing and bite.

Restorative & Cosmetic

Custom crowns, bridges and dentures to complete your smile.

THE DENTAL IMPLANT JOURNEY

Your treatment, step by step

From first scan to final crown, here is the full patient pathway at our Orchard clinic.

1

Consultation & 3D CBCT Scan

We assess bone density, gum health and adjacent teeth, and take a 3D CBCT scan to map the implant site.

2

Treatment Planning

Implant position, size and angle are planned digitally; any grafting or extractions are scheduled first if needed.

3

Implant Placement

The titanium implant post is placed under local anaesthesia (or sedation) in a single short procedure.

4

Osseointegration & Healing

Over roughly 8–16 weeks, the implant fuses with the jawbone. A temporary tooth may be fitted in the meantime.

5

Abutment & Impression

Once healed, a connector (abutment) is attached and precise digital impressions are taken for your crown.

6

Final Crown & Review

Your custom, shade-matched crown is fitted, checked for bite and fit, then reviewed at regular maintenance visits.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Dental implant questions, answered

At G Plus Dental Center, a single implant generally ranges from about S$3,500 to S$8,000, including the implant post, abutment and crown. Cases needing bone grafting, sinus lifts, or multiple implants cost more. You’ll receive an itemised quote after your consultation and 3D CBCT scan.

Case typeIndicative range (SGD)
Single implant, straightforward sitefrom ~S$3,500
Single implant with bone grafting~S$5,000 – S$7,000
Complex or multiple-implant casesup to ~S$8,000 per implant

Not necessarily disqualifying — a 3D CBCT scan will show how much bone is available. Where bone volume is insufficient, a bone graft or sinus lift can rebuild the site before or during implant placement. Uncontrolled gum disease, uncontrolled diabetes, or heavy smoking can affect healing and will be reviewed at consultation.

The placement itself is performed under local anaesthesia, so you should not feel pain during the procedure. Mild swelling or soreness for 2–4 days afterward is common and is typically managed with prescribed or over-the-counter pain relief.

Most patients return to normal activity within a few days. Full osseointegration — the implant fusing with the jawbone — takes roughly 8 to 16 weeks before the final crown can be fitted, though this varies with bone quality and whether grafting was needed.

With good oral hygiene and regular maintenance visits, the implant post itself can last 15–25 years or longer; the crown on top may need replacement after 10–15 years due to normal wear. Long-term success depends heavily on maintaining healthy gums around the implant.
